Building Hearts, Connecting Generations
Iqro is more than an organisation, it's a movement of hearts, driven by sincerity and service. We exist to support Indonesian Muslims in Australia to live with purpose, stay connected to their faith, and build a legacy for the next generation.

Who We Are
Iqro Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation serving the Indonesian Muslim community in Sydney and across Australia.
ā
We believe Islam is not only something we learn. It shapes how we live, how we care for one another and how we contribute to society.
ā
Through education and dakwah, Brotherhood, Sisterhood, Youth, Community Support, and Events & Workshops, we create opportunities for people to strengthen their faith, build meaningful relationships and take an active role in the community.
ā
Our Indonesian heritage is an important part of who we are, while our work reflects the diverse and multicultural society we call home in Australia.
Our Story
It started with a few students and a Quran.
ā
Iqro began with a simple gathering of Indonesian students in Sydney who came together to read and learn the Quran.
ā
But something else grew alongside the learning.
ā
Friendships formed. People supported one another. New students arrived. Families grew. The community changed.
And Iqro grew with it.
ā
What started as a small Quran circle became a community connecting different generations through faith, learning, friendship and service.
ā
Today, Iqro continues that story from Wiley Park, bringing together students, young people, professionals, families, elders and volunteers.
ā
The community has grown, but the idea remains simple:
Learn together. Grow together. Give back together.
